West Vancouver, BC – Students at West Vancouver Secondary School (1750 Mathers Avenue) and Rockridge Secondary (5350 Headland Drive) will be hearing from a young race car driver about the dangers of distracted driving tomorrow.

Parker Thompson, a 17-year old race car driver from Red Deer, Alberta, will be touring the district as part of his #drivetostayalive campaign. The talk will address the dangers of distracted driving with the goal of reducing accidents and injuries among youth who have recently, or will shortly acquire their drivers’ license across Canada.

Members of the West Vancouver Police Department will be in attendance at both events.
