The West Vancouver Youth Fine Arts Council is comprised of seven senior students from Sentinel, West Vancouver and Rockridge Secondary who plan district wide fine arts initiatives for all WVS students, enabling students involved in the fine arts to showcase their talents, gain recognition, and cultivate a sense of community spirit. Their motto is: Inspiring the WV community through collaboration, engagement and celebration of the fine arts.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Fine Arts Council is to foster and promote a dynamic and holistic arts community for WVS students (K-12) that inspires excellence, enrichment, collaboration and creativity, through its district wide and community outreach initiatives.

Lighthouse Festival

The 2019 Lighthouse Festival was curated and organized by the West Vancouver Youth Fine Arts Council.

Spring into the Fine Arts Contest

The council also hosted the “Spring into the Fine Arts” Contest. All West Vancouver Schools students
(K-12) were invited to submit visual or performing art relating to the theme of “Spring.”
