A World of Opportunity

At West Vancouver Schools, the focus is on who you are and who you want to become. Inspiring a sense of discovery begins on day one, and continues through graduation and beyond.

Optional and integrated programming in academics, sports, the arts, business, environmental education, along with active student clubs enhances the student life experience and opens up a world of opportunity.

We cultivate strong relationships to connect our students and families to specialists in the arts, business, athletics and life beyond the classroom. Our engaged parent community and supportive educational partners help take your child’s learning higher. Along with a broad range of focused programming and dedicated, caring staff, our approach opens doors for our graduates and keeps students motivated through critical transition stages.

The premier place for learning

Schools in our district have a strong reputation for academic excellence that matches or exceeds independent school and provincial results.

Beginning in the early years, a focus on self-regulation, inquiry, community-based literacy initiatives, athletics, the arts, and philanthropy helps children maintain the right balance in social, emotional, cognitive and physical states for optimal learning results.

As the first and only district to extend digital literacy and a Bring Your Own Device policy across all of our schools, students in West Vancouver Schools have access to the latest technology, and learn to use it responsibly to enhance their learning experience.

DID YOU KNOW

Top of the Class — Student achievement ranks in the 100th percentile among public school districts, according to the number of students meeting or exceeding expectations on the Foundation Skills Assessment and results from our annual Grade 10, 11 and 12 government program examinations.
