Budget Consultation for the 2025-26 School Year

We are currently in the budget consultation phase for the 2025-26 school year, and we invite your valuable feedback on the following key questions:

1. What new or emerging priorities should the District consider for the 2025-26 budget that may not have been highlighted in previous years?
2. What specific suggestions or general guidance would you offer to the District Leadership Team and the Board of Education as they work toward finalizing the 2025-26 budget?

We kindly ask that all feedback be submitted via email to Karen Leeson (kleeson@wvschools.ca) by Monday, March 3rd, 2025. Please note that your feedback will become part of the public record and will be shared at a future Finance and Facilities Committee meeting in March or April. You may submit feedback individually or collectively.

Following the Provincial Government’s budget announcement at the end of February, school districts will receive their funding allocations for the 2025-26 school year. The Board of Education is required to finalize and approve the District budget by June 30th, typically at their June meeting.
