Important Information

You will receive an email with further instructions from Westcot admissions within 24 – 48 hours of submission of your online application.

To comply with health and safety guidelines, all required admissions documents are being accepted electronically.
Parents and visitors should not enter the school without an appointment.

Good-quality electronic copies of all required documentation must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian to westcot@wvschools.ca
PDF copies are preferred. Poor quality scans or photos will not be accepted.

Documents must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian, not another family member, caregiver or friend. Relocation and/or real estate agents are not permitted to act independently for parents.

Incomplete documentation will not be accepted.

Student Admissions

Westcot School is pleased to accept applications for children entering Kindergarten to Grade 7 who reside both within and outside of the West Vancouver School District.

Please read the West Vancouver School District’s student admission guidelines for more information.

When to Apply

Admission for the 2020 – 2021 school year is ongoing, with extremely limited availability. We are currently waitlisting students at a number of grade levels. Contact the school office directly for more information. Waitlists are not carried over from year to year.

Admission for the 2021 – 2022 school year begins in the fall, according to the following timelines:

OCTOBER 15, 2020

Applications accepted for ALL Kindergarten students (in-catchment, in-district, and out-of-district students), and All students living IN-CATCHMENT entering Grades 1 – 7


JANUARY 15, 2021

Applications accepted for OUT-OF-CATCHMENT (in-district) students and OUT-OF-DISTRICT (OOD) students entering Grades 1 – 7.

PLEASE NOTE: If an enrollment timeline listed in AP 300 falls on a weekend, the date recognized by the Administrative Procedure for Student Registration will be the Monday following that date.

Current students do not need to re-apply

How to Apply

Simply click here to submit an online application form. Please note that all applications are completed online and will be date and time stamped at the point of online submission.

Important: Applications are not considered complete until you have submitted all supporting documentation to the school office. Students with incomplete applications will not receive offers nor be placed on waitlists.

Supporting Documentation

After submitting an application online, you will be contacted by email to request that you provide good-quality electronic copies of all the required documentation to the Westcot office at westcot@wvschools.ca
PDF copies are preferred.
