Grades: 8-12
Rockridge School is located directly across from Caulfeild Village Mall on Headland Drive in the west part of the district. The school community includes families from the areas of Bowen Island, West Bay, Caulfeild, Gleneagles and Lions Bay, but we also have students coming to Rockridge from outside the district and around the world.
Rockridge enrolls students in Grades 8 through 12, with a student population of approximately 900 students. A wide range of programs are offered to accommodate this student diversity, in academics, performing arts and athletics. In addition, the Learning Support Program is available to all students for classroom support, study skills, tutoring, and study support blocks if required.
The school offers a range of Advanced Placement (AP) courses for Grade 11 and 12 students to get a head start in post-secondary institutions. Rockridge is also an authorized International Baccalaureate World School for the Middle Years Programme. All students in Grades 8-10 participate in the IB Middle Years Programme.
Rockridge students are encouraged to get involved in activities and events that interest them. The school has traditionally offered an extensive sports program which includes rugby, basketball, volleyball, field hockey, golf, soccer, cross-country, mountain biking, wrestling, ski & snowboarding, and track & field. Since opening in September of 1996, Rockridge has won many North Shore Championships and Vancouver and District Championships.
