One Day Low Risk
For one day, low risk trips within Metro-Vancouver.
Approval: Submitted to Admin minimum 30 days prior to departure.
For trips of any length outside of BC or Canada. For any skiing or snowboarding trips. For trips occurring overnight anywhere within British Columbia. For one day, high risk trips. For low or high risk trips that occur more than once. For example, swimming every Thursday for the next month. Approval: Same as other one day low or high risk events. On district form, under trip type, please select One-day Low Risk or One-Day High Risk and use the date of the first event only. For all sporting event trips (other than skiing/snowboarding). Out of Province or International Trips
Submitted to Admin, then to District Office minimum 4 months prior to departure.

Skiing/Snowboarding Field Trips
Approval: Submitted to Admin, then to District Office minimum 30 days prior to departure (60 days prior if overnight).
Multi Day Form (Overnight Trips within BC)
Approval: Submitted to Admin, then to District Office a minimum of two months prior to departure
One Day High Risk
Approval: Submitted to Admin, then to District Office minimum 30 days prior to departure.
Low or High Risk that occur on multiple days
Competition/Sports Field Trips
Approval: Submitted to Admin, then to District Office (if high risk or multi-day)
30 days in advance if possible.
Low Risk
(i.e. walking field trip, public performances, museum tours, camping)
K- Grade 3 (minimum ratio 1:8)
Grades 4-7 (minimum ratio 1:10)
Grades 8-12 (minimum ratio 1:15)
High Risk
(i.e wilderness experience, ropes courses, kayaking, swimming, horseback riding)
