Congratulations 2020 Graduates
June 17, 2020 - 2 minutes readDear Class of 2020,
Each one of you will remember this time as a defining moment in your lives. We know that you will come out of this uncertainty and stress with more heart and determination than ever before. This is only a setback and it is a time for the best to show why they are the best – we have seen you support your classmates, your teachers and your community and in the end you have taught us, with your grace and grit. And you have made us proud.
You have lived and come of age in a community that cares deeply about you. You have learned and demonstrated our values of excellence, inclusiveness, accountability, authenticity, innovation, community engagement, and perhaps most importantly of all – happiness. These are all qualities that exemplify the true spirit of public education.
This year will be bittersweet for many parents, it feels like yesterday that you were meeting your child’s kindergarten teacher and now they are at the end of their high school career. We want to thank all of our parents and guardians for your support and for being our key partners in helping our grade 12’s succeed. Sometimes the future can come from an unexpected direction and this year has taught us that.
We are holding onto hope and promise for what is to come, and that future is all of you.
