Amy Rice

Amy Rice joined West Vancouver Schools in 2006.  Since then she has taught at various schools within the district, but previously also spent two years teaching in the South Slave Lake region of the Northwest Territories.

Amy has been involved with sport both as an athlete and as a coach for several years.  As a young athlete, Amy competed at the National level in the sports of both Badminton and Volleyball.  Despite winning a bronze medal in the Canadian Junior National Badminton Championships, Amy chose to focus her efforts on volleyball, where she went on to represent the BC Team at the Canada Summer Games.

Amy currently is a classroom teacher at Ridgeview Elementary and has coached Grade 7 girls’ volleyball for several years using her advanced knowledge in the sport.

We welcome Amy as our WVS Supervising Teacher & Assistant Coach of the Badminton Academy, excited that she is able to share her knowledge, skills and abilities in this new role.
