Procedures

The Board will work closely with the North Shore Emergency Management (NSEM) office and the West Vancouver Fire and Police departments to ensure responses and protocols are followed for all foreseeable emergency situations.

The Board will ensure that all sites have appropriate emergency response tools and equipment. The equipment will be regularly monitored and serviced.

Each site will annually review all emergency procedures with employees at the beginning of each school year.

Each site will conduct the NSEM’s recommended annual number of drills and practices for Lockdown, Fire, Earthquake and Evacuation.

The Emergency Protocols and Plan will be readily available and accessible at each site.

Emergency Protocols and Plans will be reviewed and updated as necessary.
