Cypress Park Primary World School offers the Primary Years International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme. Located in the heart of West Vancouver on Marine Drive, the school is within walking distance to public parks, tennis courts and the beach. Our well-maintained facility features highly equipped classrooms stocked with current technology and resources to best support our Units of Inquiry. Our outside classroom is fully equipped with lush forests, a sports field, a student garden and playground facilities.
The Primary Years Programme endeavors to provide an engaging, challenging and significant learning environment that reflects a culture of international-mindedness. The program incorporates the Prescribed Learning Outcomes from the BC Ministry of Education Curriculum. The PYP programme is the fastest growing program in the IB World of schools and is evaluated under a rigorous set of standards every five years.
Our dedicated teaching staff is Early Childhood or Primary Education trained and has developed an environment for learning that is best suited for the primary age group. Our small cohort of students is organized into single grade groups with several multi-age opportunities provided throughout the year. We function as an interconnected community meeting the needs of our students through meaningful student interaction, teacher support and parent involvement. All students at Cypress Park have the opportunity to attend West Bay Elementary World School to continue their IB education in the intermediate years.
