The West Vancouver Schools Premier Soccer Academy is a quality program that offer students the opportunity to complete their academic coursework and participate in soccer skill-development all during school hours, 1:40 to 3:00pm. By partaking in the Academy, students receive credit for Physical and Health Education: Soccer Academy.

The Program Concept

The WVS Premier Soccer Academy is designed for the student-athlete who wants to develop their potential as a high performance athlete or simply wants to learn the sport and enjoy the game.

Students in Grades 8-12 who are registered full time at Rockridge, Ecole Sentinel or West Vancouver Secondary are eligible to apply. The program runs from September to June and includes indoor training in December and January.

Program Specifics

  • This is an inclusive program that welcomes a variety of skill levels
  • Players who aim to take their performance to the next level, receive technical and tactical training in an intense environment
  • Experienced, qualified and passionate coaches who are affiliated with the West Van Football Club provide one on one and group training
  • The Academy takes place at Ambleside all-weather turf – an outstanding facility for outdoor training
  • In December and January, the Academy trains indoors at TOCA Soccer Center and Level 10 Fitness, both in North Vancouver
  • Potential for exhibition/friendly games with other clubs or academies

Students who participate for the full school year in the linear system receive the following Ministry courses at each grade level:

The WVS Premier Soccer Academy strives to create a welcoming environment that ensures  students are accommodated and challenged. Students participate in a variety of activities to improve their overall skill development while encouraging friendships with peers from all three West Vancouver secondary schools.

Fees: $250 per month (September – June). Payment is in the form of 10 equal payments throughout the year for a total of $2500.
