School Photo Day-September 10th
SCHOOL PHOTO DAY IS COMING!
Tuesday September 10th 2019
GradsBC, our official school photographer, will be bringing their team of professionals to photograph ALL students on Tuesday September 10th. They will be setting up their portable studios in the school that morning. The images taken that day will be used for ID cards, yearbook and student files. You will also have the option to order prints and digital files once the online gallery goes live by using your student ID number to access your personal gallery page.
It's different! GradsBC will be using a new style of " WINDOW" lighting that is very flattering. The background is a lovely deep blue colour , so choose clothing that is complimentary.
WOW! You can expect images to be ready to view in 3 days by using your student ID number to access your personal gallery page.
Don't miss it Grade 12's! You also need to attend to be photographed for your ID card. Information regarding Cap and Gown photos will be distributed that day.

New Student & Grade 8 Family Welcome Breakfast-7:30 AM
The Rockridge Parent Advisory Council (RSPAC) invites parents and guardians to join their “new to Rockridge” student(Grade 8s and new students in Grades 9 to 12)for a complimentary Pancake Breakfast. No registration required.

New Student Orientation-Player’s Hall-10:00 AM -12:00 PM
Rockridge is hosting an orientation for new students on Friday, August 30th from 10am—12pm. Grade 8’s who have already attended an orientation last year do not need to attend, but are welcome to do so, if they wish. Attendees will be welcomed by Administrators and Counsellors, and learn about Rockridge life, events and activities. New students will also receive school tours led by student volunteers.

We are eagerly anticipating the start to the 2019-2020 school year and looking forward to seeing the return of our students on September 3rd, when the following schedule will be in effect (See page 3 of the newsletter for more details on the activities for each grade):
Grade 8's: 8:30 AM - 11:00 AM
Grade 9's: 9:15 AM - 10:20 AM
Grade 10's: 10:20 AM - 11:25 AM
Grade 11's: 11:25 AM - 12:30 PM
Grade 12's: 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM

Message from the Ministry of Education regarding Provincial Exam Scores and Official Transcripts
"The Ministry has resolved the issue with student exam transcripts and the revised transcripts will be posted today. We have informed post secondary institutions to ensure student applications are not impacted. We understand the situation is stressful for students and families." Students can access these results electronically HERE. Students must have or create an account to access these scores from the Ministry of Education. Students will need to know their PEN (Personal Education Number) to create an account. Official Transcripts can be accessed HERE.
