Fundraising Overview
The PAC receives revenue from three primary sources:
- PAC Fundraising and Events (these vary from year to year but have included plant sales, raffles, parties, silent auctions, and golf tournaments)
- Provincial Gaming Grant
- Optional PAC Contribution through School Cash Online
PAC Fundraising and Events
For information on fundraising events, make sure to read the PAC section of the weekly Rockridge ebulletin, join the Parent Information WhatsApp or follow Rockridge PAC on Facebook and Instagram“
Provincial Gaming Grant
Every year the PAC applies to the B.C. Government for a Gaming Grant. Gaming Grant funds must be used to directly support students by enhancing their extracurricular opportunities (e.g. clubs, sports, bike racks, etc.). A significant portion of the budget for Wish List items comes from Gaming Grant funds.
Optional PAC Contribution
There are two ways to contribute to the Rockridge PAC through School Cash Online:
- Families can contribute through their School Cash Online account by selecting the “PAC NON Tax-Deductible Contribution” option under their student’s name. This option allows families to make multiple contributions through the year with each donation amount ranging between $10 and $165.
- Anyone can make a Tax-Deductible Contribution to “Rockridge PAC Fundraiser” of any amount through the following link via the West Vancouver Schools tab on School Cash Online. https://westvancouver.schoolcashonline.com/Fee/Details/207/105/false/true?fundDestination=Rockridge%20PAC%20Fundraiser
Unlike Gaming Grant funds, these funds have no spending restrictions and can be used for both curricular and extracurricular items. The optional PAC contribution is an important source of PAC revenue which has funded many valuable projects enhancing the student experience at Rockridge.
