Daily Physical Activity

Daily physical activity is no longer tracked for grade 8-10. The British Columbia Ministry of Education (MOE) requires students in 11-12 to complete 150 minutes (2.5 hours) per week of physical activity, at a moderate to vigorous intensity as part of Career Life Connections (CLC).

Who needs to track their DPA?

Students who are not enrolled in a Physical Education course at Rockridge or who are not part of Pursuit (formerly Super Achievers), need to keep track of their daily physical activity. If you fall into that category then please see either Ms. Ferrajohn.

What do I need to do?

All grade 11 & 12 students MUST complete a form each term (see link below). Students exempt from this form are: enrolled in a PE class, Pursuit (formerly super achievers), or sport academy.
School report cards during the year will state whether a student is ‘meeting’ or ‘not meeting’ the DPA requirement as outlined by the MOE
