  • 8:45 am Meet at West Van Secondary School (1750 Mathers Ave, West Vancouver) and check in with the DCSA guide
  • 9:00 am Depart for Deep Cove on the North Shore of Vancouver, known for its beautiful harbour location on the water, a favorite among locals and popular for Honey’s Donuts…arguably the best Honey Dip donut in the Lower Mainland
  • 9:30 am Arrive and check in for your adventure! On this introduction to Sea Kayaking, you’ll learn about the local history and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding mountains and wildlife such as seals, eagles and sea stars.
  • Free time to purchase lunch/snack (at own expense)
  • 2:30 pm Depart for Lynn Canyon and enjoy a guided walk with your guide. Cross the Suspension bridge that towers 50 meters over the canyon and explore the beautiful Baden Powell Trail.
  • 3:30 pm Depart for West Vancouver
  • Return to your school around 4 pm

We recommend wearing quick dry athletic wear, old running shoes or water shoes and a jacket that will fit under a lifejacket to keep warm on the water. On sunny days, a hat and sunscreen are a must! Be sure to bring a towel and clothes to change.

Day 1: West Vancouver to Valemount

  • 9:00 am (sharp) Depart for the Rocky Mountains!
  • Enjoy incredible sights traveling through the Fraser Valley with a stop at Bridal Falls
  • Travel the scenic Coquihalla Highway with a lunch stop en route
  • Visit Spahats Falls
  • Arrive in Valemount and check in to your hotel
  • Free time for dinner (at own expense)
  • 10:00 pm Curfew

Day 2: Valemount to Banff 

  • Breakfast included in the hotel
  • Visit Mt. Robson Visitor Centre for a view of Mt. Robson (weather permitting)
  • Stop in the famous town of Jasper
  • Visit Athabasca Falls
  • Tour through the Columbia Icefields with a stop at the Columbia Icefields Centre. Option to ride the Ice Explorer (additional cost) onto the Columbia Icefield
  • Afterwards, visit Peyto Lake (seasonal) or Bow Lake
  • Check into your hotel located on Banff Avenue
  • Free time for dinner on Banff Avenue

Day 3: Banff to Golden

  • 8:00 am Breakfast included in the hotel
  • Enjoy a tour of Banff including Lake Minnewanka Loop, Bow Falls, Banff Springs Hotel, and the Surprise Corner. Option to take the Banff Gondola (additional cost) and enjoy amazing views of the Rockies from the top of Sulphur Mountain.
  • Visit Lake Louise in the afternoon. Enjoy free time to enjoy the views or go for a hike
  • Visit Emerald Lake
  • Drive to Golden this evening with a dinner stop en route
  • Free time to enjoy the swimming pool and hot tub in the hotel

Day 4: Golden to West Vancouver 

  • Breakfast included
  • 7:00 am Check out your hotel and depart
  • Photo stop at Rogers Pass
  • Visit Craigellachie, the famous location of the ‘Last Spike’
  • Make your way back to West Vancouver with a lunch stop along the way
  • Return to your school at approximately 6:00 p.m.

Day 1: West Vancouver to Sicamous

  • Students arrive at West Van Secondary School (1750 Mathers Ave, West Vancouver) and check in with the DCSA guide
  • The fun begins! Your friendly tour guide will start off the tour with introductions and games so you can meet the other passengers. Hear interesting facts about Vancouver as you make your way out of the city and into the mountains!
  • Enjoy several sights along the way including the scenic Coquihalla Highway, the Okanagan Valley and Canada’s only desert area.
  • Stop in Hope and discover why Hope is the Carving Capital of Canada!
  • Time for lunch in Kamloops (at your own expense)
  • Arrive to Silverstar and enjoy the afternoon snow tubing on the mountain
  • Time to have fun roasting some S’mores
  • Check into your hotel in Sicamous
  • 10:00 pm Room Checks

Day 2: Sicamous to Banff

  • Breakfast included in the hotel
  • Drive through the beautiful snow-capped peaks of Mount Revelstoke National Park & Glacier National Park
  • Visit Roger’s Pass National Historic Site
  • Explore Lake Louise!
  • Continue to the beautiful town of Banff
  • Check into the hotel early evening

  • Make your way to Vancouver International Airport to meet your guide at the Air North Check-in counter at 11:00 am
  • 11:30 am Check-in for your flight with your guide and make your way to your flight gate.
  • 1:30 pm Flight departs for Whitehorse with complimentary snacks served onboard
  • 4:55 PM Arrive in Whitehorse, where a representative will greet you. Enjoy a city tour, and time to walk down the main street of Whitehorse while souvenir shopping.
  • Depart for your accommodations and check-in
  • Enjoy a gourmet group dinner this evening at the lodge
  • Opportunity to view the Northern Lights late at night/early morning. Enjoy a campfire and smores with your guide tonight.

Day 2: Whitehorse

  • 9:00 am Breakfast this morning at your accommodation.
  • 10:00 am – 2:00 pm Explore the area of Carcross with Tobogganing and Snowshoeing
  • Option Activity: Half-day dog sledding (additional cost)

  • 7:00 pm Another group dinner this evening to enjoy at your lodge

Day 3: Whitehorse to Vancouver International Airport

  • 9:00 am Breakfast this morning at your accommodation.
  • Packed lunch to go
  • 10:00 am Depart for the Whitehorse airport and your return flight home.
  • 12:20 pm Flight departs for Vancouver International Airport.
  • 1:35 pm Arrive at Vancouver Airport where your homestay parent will greet you at the Domestic arrivals. If you are making your way home by public transportation your guide will take you to the Skytrain departure platform.

  • Enjoy a scenic coastal drive tour through James Bay and Oak Bay
  • Drive along Beach Drive to Beacon Hill Park and stop at Mile 0 for pictures
  • Enjoy a Victoria city tour including Fisherman’s Wharf, Bellville Street, Government Street, Empress Hotel, Chinatown and Wharf Street
  • Check in your downtown hotel and have free time to use the hotel’s facilities
  • Meet your guide in the lobby and depart for dinner (own expense)

Day 2: Victoria to West Vancouver

  • 8:00 am Breakfast included in the hotel
  • Enjoy free time exploring the Inner Harbour and shopping on Government Street

  • Visit Coombs – A camera is a must item on a trip to Coombs, as on a good day, visitors might get a picture of the goats on the roof
  • Trail walk around Little Qualicum Falls – straddles the scenic Little Qualicum River, west of Parksville, where impressive waterfalls cascade and plummet down a rocky gorge in a beautiful forest setting
  • Drive through Cathedral Grove and see the ancient giant cedar trees!
  • Hike the Wild Pacific Trail in Ucluelet
  • Check into Canadian Princess Lodge in Ucluelet
  • Enjoy a group dinner (included)

Day 2: Tofino/Ucluelet

  • 8:00 am Breakfast included
  • Travel to the town of Tofino today, free time to explore Tofino or participate in the optional Whale Watching Tour. Those who do not wish to Whale Watch can join their guide for an easy walk to Tonquin Beach and later explore the village of Tofino for lunch.
  • Visit the town of Tofino or explore the pristine West Coast beaches. Free time for dinner (at own expense). You may wish to have dinner at the popular Tacofino for one of their award-winning tacos.
  • Enjoy evening games and another campfire on the beach (weather permitting)
  • Return to Canadian Princess Lodge after the campfire

Day 3: Ucluelet to West Vancouver

  • 8:00 am Breakfast included
  • Option to participate in surfing in Ucluelet

  • 5:55 pm – 7:35 pm Ferry from Nanaimo to Horseshoe Bay
