WVSS Athletics Announcements

If you are a Grade10-12 student who is new to WVSS and would like to play any sports, please contact Jo-Anne McKee at jmckee@wvschools.ca to start the BC High School Sports eligibility process. 

Please check our website highlandersathletics.ca, the daily announcements and the board outside of the gyms for more information as we get closer to the season.

Spring Football starts June 6th. It’s a two week camp for all grades 8-11 players (next year’s Junior and Senior teams) that culminates in the last Highlander home game of the season. Next week grade 8 players will be working on skills after school at south campus field. CONGRATULATIONS to the Track and Field Team for winning the North Shore Banner!

CONGRATULATIONS to the JR Boys and SR Girls Cross Country teams – they won the 2021 Provincial Championship. A big Thank You to coaches Leslie and Colin (WVSS co-hosted the race with Sentinel – a ton of work for all), and all the staff volunteers who came out help. What a community!

CONGRATULATIONS to our Sr Girls Basketball Team on winning the North Shore championship banner 2022. The win marks the first time that a Sr Girls team has won the North Shore banner in over 25 years!
