Congratulations to both the Junior and Senior badminton teams for their win against Handsworth yesterday. Next game will be on Monday against Mulgrave. Go Highlanders!
Spring football is not far off. There will be a very important football meeting for all Grade 8 and 9 students on Wednesday April 11th in E303. All interested players should attend. If you can not attend please see Mr.Anderson.
Need service hours? Do you like soccer? The senior girls soccer team is in need of sideline flaggers. No experience required. Please come to the counselling office if you are interested.
The school store is looking for new members to join our team! It's a great way to be involved and get your volunteer work experience. Sign up sheets are at the main office for three days only, so don't miss out!

Day of Awesome is this Thursday. Get your house t-shirt out of your closets and wear them on Thursday. You need to wear your house t-shirts or a t-shirt of your house color in order to receive any prizes. There are a lot of surprises in store store!!
The student council Easter egg hunt will happen again today at the 11:15 break. Each day the prizes will get better and the eggs will be harder to find. There will be a table in front of the caf at lunch where you can trade in your paper eggs for candy. Max 1 egg per day person.
A message from the library: Stop by the library to renew your books before the break or to check out a book for your spring break reading!
Congratulations to the senior boys rugby team who notched their first win of the season against Argyle 22-7. Great performances were had by Ben Welsh, Ben Corbett, and Ethan Abcarius.
Any student hoping to compete in track and field this year must be registered by Thursday. Please see Mrs. Buchanan if you have any questions.

The Girls rugby team put in another great effort as they continue to build, however, the more established Hugh McRoberts program ended up the victors. Our girls punched in 4 tries in the loss, with great performances by Kelly Ton, Emma Wardrop, and Niamh Henry. They open their regular season April 6th against Argyle.
A reminder to members of the Jazz band of your rehearsal today at 3:00 in the Kay Meek.
The Ultimate Frisbee meeting is today at Lunch in W252.
The Creative Writing club is having a meeting today in W245 at lunch. See you there!

A big congratulations goes out to all members of the WVSS Physics Olympics team who came third this weekend out of 75 schools from across BC. This is the second year in a row that WVSS has finished in the top 3. Congratulations goes out to Jaewoon, Brian, Helen, Sayeh, Alex, Rain, Yas, and Sara!
