School Library Homepage

To access your school library page please go to:

http://sd45library.sd45.bc.ca

Then choose your school.  On each library home page there are a variety of additional links for the students to access. Including detailed links for the West Van Memorial Library resources.

E-books and audio books

To access ebooks and audiobooks students  can use the West Vancouver Memorial Library and download software to their device which is free. You need a library card- if you do not have one please sign up on the phone 604 925 7400 or on line. Any student, employee or resident may get one.

  • There is an attached  handout from WVML with detailed instructions at the end of this to download the software you will need for a tablet or device.

Young students may also enjoy listening to or reading along with animated stories from Tumblebooks. Older students may like to access TeenBookCloud. These are also accessible from the West Vancouver Memorial Library. They do not download to your device but are viewed from the database. Unlike ebooks or audiobooks that live for the loan period on your reading shelf, these may be accessed by multiple users at a time.

  • From westvanlibrary.ca, look for the tab Research and Learn.
  • Find Tumblebooks in the library databases under “T”.
  • At this time, no login or password is required (although if this changes, use your library card number. Your pin is, by default, the last four numbers of the phone number you used to register the card.)
