Tickets go on sale for the Fashion Show starting Monday at lunch in front of the cafeteria! $10 for adults, $5 for students, cash only! The show is Thursday, May 12th at 7p.m. in the Kay Meek Studio Theatre.

Attention Grade 11s – applications for the 2023 Grad Committee are available in the counselling office. They are due back on May 27 and voting will take place the following week. The Grad Committee is a group of 10 elected students. This group will meet weekly throughout grade 12 to plan and implement events, build school spirit and promote an inclusive grade 12 group. Applicants should have excellent citizenship,  attendance and work habits and available to meet every Tuesday at lunch.

We are looking for 6 to 8 grade 11s to volunteer at the Closing Ceremonies on Wednesday, May 25 from 6 to 10pm at the Orpheum Theatre. Please come to the counselling office if you are interested.

Scholarship Opportunity-The criteria is academic achievement, preferably in a trade or technical program, school or community sports achievement, community involvement and financial need, then you should apply for this Scholarship sponsored by the West Van Fire Fighters. Please see Mrs. Caruth today in the Counselling or Careers office for the
details.

Mrs. Fulton and Mrs. Superstein (choir teachers) are looking for a pianist (preferably a graduate, though not required) who would like to accompany some graduating singers at commencement on Wed. May 25 at 7pm. You would need to arrive early to the Orpheum to rehearse on stage the day of the Grad ceremony (time TBC) and attend the following two rehearsal prior to that at WVSS in the choir room off the South Campus cafeteria: Friday, May 20 from 12-1pm (lunch rehearsal…it’s a
PRO-D day at WVSS) Tuesday, May 24 from 1:20-2:40pm The successful candidate needs to have a high level
of piano skills (equivalent to Grade 10 RCM) and be confident following a conductor while playing. You must also be available for both rehearsal times in addition to the commencement ceremony. If you are interested in volunteering, please email sfulton@wvschools.ca as soon as possible. This is a wonderful way to showcase your skills as a pianist.
