There will be a meeting for all Grade 8 to 11 students playing spring football. Meeting on Wednesday May 9th in E-303.
Concert Choir for tomorrow morning (Tuesday) is cancelled. Instead Mrs. Fulton will be holding auditions for new students interested in joining Chamber Choir next year. Come to the dance studio at 7:30 am if you’d like to audition. Remember that a minimum of two years in concert choir or equivalent experience is required.
Attention Grade 12 students: In order to arrange to buy your grad banquet and commencement tickets you must first make an appointment in the counselling office starting today May 7th.
Attention to all badminton players: Your practice today is now in the new gym this afternoon from 3:00 - 4:00. Please remind your teammates of the change!
A reminder to all grade 8 & 9 students that your portfolio and self assessment are due tomorrow in advisory. They will be emailed home to your parents/guardians and reported on through your next report card. Please make sure that you log into your myblueprint account and finish it before Wednesday.

Congratulations to the senior badminton team for the win at the North Shore finals. It was the classic "Best of the West" face-off between west Van and Sentinel. A total team effort led by our superstars Stella Seo and Cobb Hu. Special mentions to our grade 12 players for their dedication to the team despite the IB final exam! The team will now head to the zone finals at Moscrop on May 11th for a ticket to the provincials.
Best of luck to the girls rugby team today as they attempt to qualify for 7s provincials next week!

Congrats to the junior badminton team for their 3rd place finish at the North Shore finals. The senior team will be hosting the final this evening. Come out and support the team!

Students that will be in grad 11 & 12 next year: Are you interested in adventure, wildlife, and a learning experience unlike any other? Join us for the "Ultimate Biology field trip". We are going to the Galapagos Islands! Walk in the footsteps of Charles Darwin and see giant tortoises, sea lions, tropical penguins and many other unique species. From the Galapagos we travel to the most bio diverse place on earth, the Amazon rain forest. If you would like to learn Biology in the Galapagos Islands and the Amazon, please come to the information meeting today at lunch in C335 to find out more.

The senior boys rugby team are the "best of the west" after yesterdays match vs Sentinel. The boys put on a clinic, dismantling the Spartans 31-14. Ben Corbett was outstanding for West Van!
The junior boys put the train back on the tracks yesterday with a 22-7 win over rivals Handsworth. They wrap up the regular season this Friday at home vs Argyle.

Congratulations to the senior boys rugby team who continue to stay perfect with a 35-14 win over rivals Handsworth on Friday! The boys have another tough challenge this week, with Sentinel on Tuesday & Robert Bateman on Friday under the lights!
The junior boys rugby team had a rough day on Friday at the 7s provincials. The juniors lost all pool games, but managed to salvage the day by winning the shield in their playoff bracket!
This is a big congratulations to the Concert Band who attended the Con Brio Sun Peaks Music Festival in Kamloops this past weekend and achieved silver! Mr. Daudlin and Mr. Ratzburg are very proud of the concert band for their great performance and representing WVSS very well all weekend.
