Best of luck to the senior boys rugby team as they attempt to advance to the Lower Mainland Finals today as they face St. George's school in the semi's!

The badminton team concluded their playoff season with a 2 game victory against MacNeill Secondary at the Lower Mainland tournament. While the team isn't advancing to the provincials. many junior players played up and gained valuable experience for next year. The future is bright for the team! There will be a pizza lunch on Friday next week. See Google classroom for details.

The senior girls soccer team keeps on winning! Monday the girls beat Burnaby North 5-0 to put them one win away from provincials. The girls are truly playing as a complete team. Good luck to the girls on Thursday vs New West Secondary.

Congratulations to the girls rugby team for placing 10th at provincials. Well done girls!

All track and field athletes should come to the track for a short meeting today at 3:05 pm. This is an informational meeting fort the North shore track and field meet that takes place tomorrow.

Reminder to all of Mr.Zimmerman's film classes - the screening of the film "Meditation Park" is today at 1:15 at the Kay Meek Theatre. Be at the theatre at 1:10 for seating.

A huge congratulations to the Senior Ultimate team for their success at the Lower Mainland Zone tournament on Friday and Saturday. The team battled hard to win two of their three games on Saturday and this secured a spot in the provincial tournament later this month. Way to go Highlanders!

All students interested in the 75th DDay Anniversary and Holocaust Memorial trip in 2019, please remember that the parent meeting is tonight at 6:30 pm!

We are planning a school service trip to Nicaragua over reading break in February 2019. This opportunity is open to all students. If you're interested in gaining volunteer hours, helping a community in need and staying at a beach resort some to the computer lab, C231 today at lunch for more details or see Ms.Pirbhai or Mr. Johnson.

There is still time to sign up for the RBC Run for the Kids on Sunday June 3, 2018. See your PE teachers for information.

The senior girls soccer team continued their winning ways yesterday with a 4-0 win over Handsworth! The girls are two wins away from a berth to provincials. Next up is a match against Burnaby's #2 team next Monday.

Congratulations to the Senior Ultimate team for their success at the North Shore Ultimate Championship on Monday and Tuesday. The team finished in the top three so they have qualified to advance to the Lower Mainland Ultimate Championship which will be held on Friday and Saturday.

Make sure to come out today to cheer on your Senior Rugby team as they look to close out the regular season with a win over Lord Byng. Kick off is at 3:30 pm.

Good luck to the girls rugby team as they head off to the island for girls rugby 7s!

Attention Grade 12 students: In order to arrange to buy your grad banquet and commencement tickets you must first make an appointment in the counselling office starting today May 7th.

A reminder to all grade 8 & 9 students that your portfolio and self assessment are due tomorrow in advisory. They will be emailed home to your parents/guardians and reported on through your next report card. Please make sure that you log into your myblueprint account and finish it before Wednesday.

There will be a meeting for all Grade 8 -11 students playing spring football. Meeting is tomorrow May 9th at lunch in room E303.

A huge congratulations goes out to all members of the WVSS senior tennis team for their nail-biting 6-5 win over Carson Graham yesterday to qualify for the Provincial Championships. Great performances were put in by the whole team. Team members - don't forget about the team photo today at the start of lunch.

Congratulations to the Senior Girls Soccer team for their 2-0 wine over Argyle yesterday. The girls played their best game of the season to vault themselves into 2nd on the North Shore and set yo a playoff match vs Handsworth tomorrow at 3:00 pm. Go Highlanders!
