Do you want to travel abroad and help those in need? Join our Dominican Republic School trip. This trip is open to all students. You can earn 35 service hours, develop leadership skills, and stay at a beach side resort. For more information, look at the trips board outside the main office or see Ms. Pirbhai or Mr. Johnson. We will have an information session on November 7th at 6:00 pm in the computer lab.

Theatre Company: the cast list has been posted! First read through is Wednesday, November 8th at 3pm in the drama room. Everyone must attend!

Basketball Sign-up and Tryouts: Grade 9,10, Senior boys and girls sign-up sheets are located on the bulletin board just outside the new gym. Basketball tryouts begin Monday, so be prepared to have your number called.

The Bantam Boys Rugby team put forth a solid effort in yesterdays final but came up short 56-28! Ali Haeri was man of the match for the Highlanders! Congratulations on a well played season! Now on to Basketball!

A big congratulations to the grade 8 Bantam girls volleyball team, who shook off their nerves and battled to a victory in 5 sets over the STA Saints. The team will be representing the school in the North Shore finals on Tuesday. Good luck in bringing home the Banners Girls!

Hey West Van! Today is the day! It's the annual Halloween Spooktacular today at lunch in the Old Gym. Just $1.00 admission. Join in the individual or group costume contests. Watch the Apple Bobbing and Pie eating contests. And see some other great surprises. Come early for a good seat!

Congratulations to the Juvenile Girls volleyball team on a great season! The girls lost a tight game vs STA last night to end their season. The girls played great all season and improved tremendously. Way to go girls! Go Highlanders!
Congratulations to the Bantam Boys Rugby team advancing to the North Shore finals with a 42-25 win over Handsworth. Man of the match was Bruce Jones with 5 tries. The Boys now set their sights on the top seed Carson Graham! Finals are Thursday @ 3:45 PM at Mountain side! Pace!
The senior Field Hockey team lost 2-1 in the Banner game to Handsworth yesterday. The Handsworth offense was very strong in the first half but in the second half, the West Van team dominated in both offense and defense. It was an extremely close game. Congratulations girls on finishing second in the North shore and qualifying for Provincials starting on November 15th. Highlander pride.
Congratulations to the Bantam Girls on their quarter final victory over Seycove in 3 straight sets! Good luck to the team on Wednesday when they take on STA in the semi-finals.

With victories at the zone swim meet the following swimmers have qualified for the BC Championships: Tina Guan, Jessica Strong, Thomas Dignum, Fernanda Vejar-Richter, Sophia Hartvikson, and Kian Karimi. Congratulations!
Today, the senior field hockey team play for the North shore Banner on Rutledge field at 3:00. It will be a competitive match between WV and Handsworth. Come down an cheer on your Highlanders right after school. Good luck girls!
The bantam girls volleyball team finished the regular season with three victories in a row and had a big win over the first place team in the East, STA at the Royals tournament on Saturday. Today they host Seycove for the North Shore Quarter Finals - come support the team at 4:00 in the old gym. Go Highlanders!
