The senior boys soccer team had a good win against Argyle yesterday. The score was 1-0. Goal scored by Pierson Stanley with an excellent free-kick. Keep up the good work Highlanders!

Grade 8 Rugby in cancelled today but there is a meeting at lunch in room 59.
Junior Girls Field Hockey has a game today again Handsworth Gold at 3:30pm at William Griffon.

Students interested in writing the practice SAT exam can register with Mrs. Madill in the main office. It will be held on Oct 10th and the cost is $20.00
The Senior Women's Volleyball team had lots of action this weekend. The team stayed composed in game play to win two tough matches on Saturday morning. They crushed Sentinal in 3 and destroyed Burnaby Central in 2 straight sets.
Abby Young led the team in defensive digs, Macy Meldrum had 16 kills, while Victoria Vervelsky and Kayla Wong had the hitting Percentage. Kate Lytle had a string of service aces and the star of the tournament was Libby Meldrum with her assists and 2 game ending attacks.

Yesterday the Senior Boys Soccer team played an excellent game against Handsworth, winning the match 3-2. The first two goals were scored by Callum Dye and Pierson Stanley! The game-winner was scored by Kyle Kim. It was a tough battle and a well played game. Go Highlanders!
The Senior Girls Volleyball team had a tough battle last night at home vs the strong Elphy team. Outstanding play by both setters: Libby Meldrum and Luna Li. Back to action this weekend at Capilano U. First game is at 3pm Mountain Side.

We are planning a school service trip to the Dominican Republic over reading break in February. If you are interested in earning 70 volunteer hours, helping a community in need and staying in a beach side hotel, we will be having a parent and student information session today @ 6:15pm in the computer lab, room C231.
