Attention Grade 8 football players - there is an important meeting today at lunch in Mr. Keary`s room. Reminder this is very important.
All Volleyball players grade 8 to 12 - there is a meeting at lunch today in the New Gym regarding the elementary school camp and open gyms! All Volleyball players hoping to play next year should attend.

Congratulations to all Textiles and Fashion Industry students involved in last week`s Elevate`Fashion Show! The show was spectacular!
Attention grade 11 students - Friday is the last day to hand in grad committee nomination forms. Voting will take place next week.
There will be a Best Buddies general member meeting this Thursday t lunch in W243. New members are always welcome! Grab a treat and learn about how you can participate in the last event of the year, coming up in June!
The French Club will be meeting in Room 301 today, as usual. They will be watching Chef`s Table.

Today West Vancouver Secondary is recognizing International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobio. Displaying LGBTQ-friendly symbols helps improve LGBTQ youths' self-esteem and fosters a sense of belonging. Schools with established GSAs abd anti-homophobic bullying policies have LOWER odds of discrimination, suicidal thoughts and attempts among LGBT students, AND among heterosexual boys. So thank you to all those who are standing out against bullying and discrimination today. Empathy and support looks good on you!
The "Elevate" Fashion Show tickets are on sale today in front og the cafeteria. The show is TONIGHT at 7pm at the Kay Meek. It's going to be fabulous!
The Golf Team is going to Provincials!!
With stellar rounds from Zach Ryujin and Manu Ghandi, the team has advanced through the north shore finals beating Rockridge by 5 strokes. Callum Dye and Marcus Baxter contributed and Joshua 'I just wanna play' Borrell put in a surprise clutch performance.
Way to go West Van Golfers!
A message for the Hockey Team - there will be a game on Tuesday at the usual time at the West Van rink.

Good Luck to the West Van track and field team who will be competing in the North Shore finals all day tomorrow. There will be a quick practice and meeting after school today!

Congratulations to the Girls Rugby team for a convincing win over Moscrop 52-0. Well done girls and a great team effort.
Congrats also to the Senior Boys Rugby team on their win 25-17 over Lord Bing to qualify & compete for the New Zealand Shield which is awarded to the top metro Vancouver team. They are now off to the Provincials. Good Luck Highlanders.
The Lunchbox West Van Secondary's GSA club, meets at lunch in the dance studio. Ever wanted to check it out but wanted to know more about it first? Talk to Mr. McLeod or Ms. Castro and they can tell you all about it!

You are invited to the WVSS writing journal launch party TODAY from 4-6 at the West Van Memorial Library. This is an open event so feel free to bring yoru friends and family. There will be refreshments & and open mic for WVSS students. Journals will also be sold for $10. Hope to see you all there.
