The Celebration of Life for Mr. MacNeil is this Saturday at 1:00 pm in the School Gym. Any Students interested in signing a card for the family are invited to do so in the Career Resource Room opposite the Counselling area.

The Sr. Volleyball Team will be taking pre-orders for memorial “Win the Day” t-shirts to be worn in Mr. MacNeil’s honour. We are asking for donations of $10.00 per t-shirt. Come to the Cafeteria at lunch today and Friday to pre-order and pick up your shirt. All proceeds will go to Cancer Research and a Mr. MacNeil Legacy Volleyball Tournament. “Win the Day” was one of Mr. MacNeil’s favourite sayings and we would like to share his hope in every aspect of our season. We look forward to seeing you at lunch this week to help us carry his legacy at WVSS.

Gr. 8 Girls Volleyball Tryouts: Today at 3:00 pm in the North Campus Gym.

Jr. Girls Volleyball Practice: Today after school in the old gym, all Gr 9 and 10 players be there. Any questions go to Mrs. Finch.

Attention all Hip Hop Dancers: Dance Crew Auditions are today at 3:00 sharp in the Kay Meek Theater Studio. All grade levels are welcome to tryout!

Student Parking: Students must purchase a parking decal to park their car. The parking area is the Gravel Field between South and North Campus. Decals cost $25. If you do not have one, your car will be towed.

Fashion Industry Class: Our first class is today!  3:30 in the textiles room.

Clubs: Application forms can be picked up and dropped off in the office. Forms are due on September 19th.

Theater company has selected this year’s play! We will be adapting the classic Keanu Reeves teen comedy Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure! If you’d like to be a part of the scriptwriting process, join us September 19 after school in the drama room.

Sr. Mentorship Students: We will be having our first class after school on Monday, September 16. Check your email, or see Mr. McLeod for more details.

Just a reminder to the students who have registered for our school trip to the Dominican Republic. We will be having a meeting today for parents and students at 7:00 pm in the computer lab room C231. See Ms. Pirbhai or Mr. McLeod if you have any questions.

Academy Students: A reminder that if you are taking the bus, you will need to be at the front of the school no later than 1:05 pm. The bus will not wait for you if you are late.

Congratulations to the Sr. Girls Volleyball Team! They came 3rd place out of 15 teams in their season opener this weekend, losing only one match out five to the #1 Lord Tweesmuir. See everyone at practice tonight 5-7:00 pm in the new gym.

Jr. Volleyball team: 2nd tryout is today in the new gym!

New Students who have not done ESL testing must report to W150 at 3:00 pm today.

Field Hockey Tryouts: For the Sr. and Jr. girls, the second round of tryouts are Tuesday 3:30 pm.
