Sep 10 2019The Celebration of Life for Mr. MacNeil is this Saturday at 1:00 pm in the School Gym. Any Students interested in signing a card for the family are invited to do so in the Career Resource Room opposite the Counselling area.
The Sr. Volleyball Team will be taking pre-orders for memorial “Win the Day” t-shirts to be worn in Mr. MacNeil’s honour. We are asking for donations of $10.00 per t-shirt. Come to the Cafeteria at lunch on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to pre-order and pick up your shirt. All proceeds will go to Cancer Research and a Mr. MacNeil Legacy Volleyball Tournament. “Win the Day” was one of Mr. MacNeil’s favourite sayings and we would like to share his hope in every aspect of our season. We look forward to seeing you at lunch this week to help us carry his legacy at WVSS.
Gr. 8 Girls Volleyball Tryouts: Wednesday and Thursday at 3:00 pm in the New Gym.
Academy Students: A reminder that if you are taking the bus, you will need to be at the front of the school no later than 1:05 pm. The bus will not wait for you if you are late.
School Play: There will be a meeting in the drama room today at 3:00 pm for anyone interested in participating in the play. If you cannot attend the meeting, contact Ms. Hoyak and let her know your interest.
All students who require WIFI Login assistance: Please go to the library at lunch today with your device. IT Services will be available to help you. Teachers – please do not send the students to the library during class time.
Attention all Hip Hop Dancers: Dance Crew Auditions are this Thursday September 12th at 3:00 sharp in the Kay Meek Theatre Studio. All grade levels are welcome to tryout!
Reminder for returning Treble Chamber Choir members and those joining us for the memorial service Saturday, we have a rehearsal on Wed during FIT time. Please speak to your Advisory teachers to be excused.
Student Parking: Students must purchase a parking decal to park their car. The parking area is the Gravel Field between South and North Campus. Decals cost $25. If you do not have one, your car will be towed.
Grade 8 Students: If you are interested in writing the math 8 enriched assessment it will be today after school in Room C206.
Swim Team Meeting: Today at lunch in the CRC.
Fashion Industry Class: Next Thursday at September 12 at 3:30 in the textiles room.
Clubs: Application forms can be picked up and dropped off in the office. Forms are due on September 19th.
