Dec 12 2019Hey WVSS – Classic Rock is back! Come to the band room at lunch time today to see our Sr. Classic Rock Band play all your favorite classic rock hits – free admission!
A reminder to all Sr. Mentorship students to complete your Reflections and Resolutions assignment by the end of the week. Once complete, turn these in to Mrs. Forsyth in the South Campus office and she’ll help you get them up on the bulletin board.
The Bookfair is today outside the library at lunch and after school until 3:30. Last day to get some books, journals and writing supplies! Come out to support the library and get some great gifts – or treat yourself!
Design Thinking Club has a TED talk meeting in room W246 during lunch time – free pizza and drinks will be available!
Congratulations to the following boys basketball teams! Gr 8 Boys Black on their win over Rockridge, Gr. 9 Boys winning a nail biter over Seycove and the Sr. Boys getting back on track with a win over Van Tech. Good luck to the Jr. Boys as they compete in the Notre Dame Tournament today.

Did you know that simply changing a few meals a week to meatless has a huge impact on reducing your carbon footprint. Next Monday is “Meatless” Monday in the cafeteria. Please come and show your support. A simple change with a big impact. Let’s tackle climate change together.
Multicultural Club will be hosting Asian New Year on Feb 6, 2020. We are currently accepting applicants to perform on January 13-17. Audition forms are in the office or on the Multicultural Club Instagram. Deadline is on December 20th.
HIGH FIVE FRIDAY PAC FUNDRAISER: Tickets will be sold on Friday Dec 6 & 13 in both cafeterias between 1-1:40pm. Students who donate $5 receive a ballot to enter in a draw to win a brand new IPAD with WIFI and 120 G. Multiple entries allowed. Winner will be drawn on Monday, Dec 16th in the morning announcement. Prize includes a Brand New IPad with 120G and WIFI (valued at $549). The proceeds of this contest will help with the upgrade of the Computer Lab.
