May 16 2019Today West Vancouver Secondary is recognizing International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobio. Displaying LGBTQ-friendly symbols helps improve LGBTQ youths’ self-esteem and fosters a sense of belonging. Schools with established GSAs abd anti-homophobic bullying policies have LOWER odds of discrimination, suicidal thoughts and attempts among LGBT students, AND among heterosexual boys. So thank you to all those who are standing out against bullying and discrimination today. Empathy and support looks good on you!
The “Elevate” Fashion Show tickets are on sale today in front og the cafeteria. The show is TONIGHT at 7pm at the Kay Meek. It’s going to be fabulous!
The Golf Team is going to Provincials!!
With stellar rounds from Zach Ryujin and Manu Ghandi, the team has advanced through the north shore finals beating Rockridge by 5 strokes. Callum Dye and Marcus Baxter contributed and Joshua ‘I just wanna play’ Borrell put in a surprise clutch performance.
