A reminder to the Ski & Snowboard team that the deadline to register is this Friday, Dec 8th. You need to register online at highlanderathletics.ca. Hand in the waiver signed by your parents and pay by cheque to Mr. Baker by Friday.

Reminder: Ms.Finch’s Senior Fit class meets at the Rec Centre today for a fitness class – be ready to start at 1:45pm!

Christmas Hampers: I know that it will take a little extra effort on all of our parts to make our annual hamper drive a success and so I thank you in advance. I believe strongly that we are doing the right thing to support the 26 North Shore families to make things a little bit easier for them, especially at this time of the year. I hope that the following few points of clarification will help (some are repeats):

  • We will have a quick check in Advisory this Thursday at 11:05 for 10 minutes for students to drop off donations. Ursula will include this information in the announcements today and Brad will put it on the monitors. Please help by all of you sharing this information today in all classes and encouraging/reminding students to bring in their items tomorrow (Thank you Period 2 teachers for your support)
  • I will be emailing all of our families with details of this initiative today and asking them to be active participants from home to ensure we meet our target goals.
  • We will set up the wrapping workshop next Wednesday during the first two blocks of the day in the cafeteria, similar to last year – I will provide all the necessary materials.
  • There is a hamper box for each advisory pairing in the large conference room for you to pick up.
  • We will not let these families down. If by next Tuesday (after Advisory) you are short any items, I will be asking for you to tell me what you need and we will get it. We have a youth worker that loves shopping and spending other people’s money so we are in good shape there.

The school store is excited to announce a Christmas sale! Come by before school or at lunch to buy either a $13.00 tank top, $5.00 lanyard, or $15.00 scarf!
