Year-End Message to all our Chartwell Families

July 3, 2018 - 2 minutes read

What an amazing year filled with learning and fun! It is hard to believe that we are at the end of a very busy and productive school year. We are so proud of the accomplishments of our students. Chartwell is a very special place, a school with a very purposeful spirit, a mission to educate the hearts and minds of children. Our staff is committed to supporting our students so that they can be their best selves, successful and happy in a caring learning environment. Students participated in amazing projects, developed skills and competencies, and demonstrated their learning in a variety of ways. Inquiry-based learning and reading instruction were at the forefront of the curriculum. Our Year 3 final presentation for our Framework for Enhancing Learning (FESL) was well received by District Leadership staff who were pleased with our results. Our Rights Respecting Schools committee provided opportunities for all to collaborate and practice inclusivity, kindness and citizenship. Our Music programs were showcased numerous times, and our beautiful Learning Commons saw a huge amount of Maker Space designs and projects. Athletic teams represented Chartwell proudly at all district events.

We cannot end this message without thanking each and every staff member of the Chartwell team. We are so impressed with your energy, your efforts and your dedication to our school community. We wish the best of luck to the following staff members who are moving on to new ventures; Ms. Drexl, Ms. Needham, Ms. Pepperall, Ms. Adair, Ms. Lin and Mr. Bay. You will be missed.

Coming to work every day at Chartwell is a privilege. Thank you for all your support.

Have a fantastic summer everyone! Don’t forget that summer is made for rest and relaxation! Take a little break from screen time, and go play outside and spend quality time with your close ones!

Warm Regards,

Chantal and Alysha

Happy Summer!
