Irwin Park is focused on a set of shared values that we have as a common goal and vision about who we are, how we learn and the fundamentals that are important to all of us. The Shared Values will provide a common language which will enable us to not only develop a deep understanding of these ideas but also communicate about them effectively, fostering a sense of pride and ownership about what it means to be an Irwin Park learner.

Irwin Park Shared Values learning begins with collaborative assemblies where students examine the traits and characteristics of what it means to be an Irwin Park learner. Students discuss and complete activities on what it looks like, sounds like and feels like to be a student who walks the halls of our school.

During the first week of the new school year, students will learn about the Irwin Park Shared Values at our opening day assembly and during common lessons throughout the week. We hope that building a solid foundation of knowledge and understanding with our shared values will help set the tone and provide Irwin Park with a specific lens to examine ourselves, others and the world.

Back to school is always an exciting time, but back to school with a clear understanding and vision of what we believe in creates a clear focus on how our school can be best for our students and their learning.
