Our daughter is in Grade 2 at BICS and loving it. Her enthusiasm about going to school every day is the best testament we could give about the school. As parents we hope the caring and thoughtful attention that is given to our daughter will provide the foundation of a life-long love of learning. The combination of excellent communication and continuous community events that are held in the school allow us to feel connected to the school and our daughters learning despite our busy careers. On Bowen we say “it takes an Island to raise a child” and we feel the Staff at BICS are a large part of that Island.

For a small school, BICS does some very innovative things—such as the student-grown food program, the Outdoor Learning Centre, and Outside45. The teachers and administrators are constantly thinking about how to do things differently and better. At BICS you feel like the door is always open, because it is.
