Parents

Parents contribute to the life and energy of BICS in many ways, including their involvement in the Parent Advisory Council (PAC). Every parent belongs to and can participate in the PAC. Every parent has a vote and a voice within the PAC.

Meetings are usually held the first Wednesday of every month at 6:30 pm in the BICS library (Please check the school calendar for the most current meeting schedule). Childcare is provided. The Principal, Vice-Principal, and staff representatives attend the meeting to connect with parents and provide information and insights about developments at the school and district.

The PAC

  • Supports, encourages and enhances the quality of education and welfare of students,
  • Promotes the involvement of parents and community members in the school,
  • Supports staff and teachers, and
  • Participates in the activities of the School Planning Council, District Advisory Council and BC Confederation of Parent Advisory Councils.
