Nominations Open for 2022/23 WVDPAC Executive!

Nominations are now open for next year’s WVDPAC Executive team. Nominations must be received by the Nominations Committee by May 22nd to be eligible for the June 1st, 2022 AGM and Election.

“For those of you thinking of joining DPAC or putting your name in for the Executive Committee, I wanted to share with you my experience. I have been on PAC for 9 years and on DPAC for 4 years and on the Executive team for 3 years. The best part of my years of volunteering has been while on DPAC Executive. It has been a truly rewarding experience on so many levels. For starters, I really got an opportunity to see first hand what the District Team does for our schools and kids. Getting to know the team on a personal level has changed everything for me. I got to see first hand just how committed they are to our kids and how hard they work to ensure our kids are safe and have the best learning environment possible. The other part to why I love being on the executive so much is not only do you have a voice at a level where change can happen and benefit all schools in our district, but you get to work closely with other parents in the District from other schools where strong friendships are formed, while having fun too. There is a high level of trust, respect, and sharing without judgement and a feeling of belonging to a team that has one common goal – to work together to make the learning environment for our kids that we want them to have. You get to have a larger voice on the executive and represent parents from your school. I have made lasting close friendships that I will cherish for years to come and am grateful for the opportunity of getting to know our District Leadership team on a more personal level.
