Premier Baseball Academy

baseball20Many of the WVSD’s Premier Baseball Academy students participated in the 2014 BC Summer Games representing the Vancouver Squamish Zone. The athletes displayed outstanding skill, determination and teamwork throughout the very competitive tournament to win SILVER in a nail-biting final game that ended in a score of 7-8 for the Fraser Valley Zone team.

The academy’s outstanding athletes representing Vancouver Squamish were: Matthew Watson, Blake Reid, Cortez D’Alessandro, Alec Cumming, Dion Wintjes, Ataru Yamaguchi, and Thomas Neal.

Academy student Sam Shoemaker was a part of the team that represented the Fraser Valley Zone, winning GOLD!

A huge congratulations goes out to all the boys and to WVSD’s Premier Academy teacher/head coach, Mr. Brooks McNiven.
