PRIMARY AND ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS:

BOWEN ISLAND COMMUNITY SCHOOL

Bowen Island (for Kindergarten to Grade 7)

CAULFEILD iDEC SCHOOL
  1. The northern boundary shall be the limit of the municipality.
  2. The eastern boundary shall be Cypress Creek extending from the northern limit of the municipality to the sea.
  3. The western boundary shall be the eastern boundary of Eagle Harbour Elementary School.
  4. The southern boundary shall be the sea south of Gulf Beach Park, and including the 5100 Block Marine Drive to the mouth of Cypress Creek.
ECOLE CEDARDALE
  1. The boundaries shall be the limits of the municipality on all sides, and including the Village of Lions Bay and Bowen Island.
CHARTWELL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
  1. The northern boundary will be the limit of the municipality from the western fork of McDonald Creek to the eastern limit of the municipality.
  2. The eastern boundary shall extend from the intersection of the northern boundary and the eastern limit of the municipality to the northwest corner of Lot 71 on Bonnymuir Place. The boundary then runs south along the centre line of Bonnymuir Place to St. Andrews Road, southwest along the centre line of St. Andrews Road to Kenwood Road, along the centre line of Kenwood Road to Eyremount Drive, then southwest down the centre line of Eyremount Drive. From the intersection of Highland Drive and Cross Creek Road, the boundary crosses Block 42 to the northwest corner of Lot 1 on 11th Street, and then south along the centre line 11th Street to the Upper Levels Highway.
  3. The western boundary shall be the western fork of McDonald Creek from the northern limit of the municipality to the Upper Levels Highway.
  4. The southern boundary shall be the Upper Levels Highway from McDonald Creek (21st Street and Upper Levels intersection) to 11th Street.
CYPRESS PARK PRIMARY SCHOOL
  1. The northern boundary shall be the B.C. Railway line.
  2. The western boundary shall begin at the B.C. Railway line, then south on Pitcairn Place to the sea.
  3. The eastern boundary shall begin at the B.C. Railway line, then south on Sharon Drive to the sea.
EAGLE HARBOUR MONTESSORI SCHOOL
  1. The western boundary shall be the eastern boundary of Gleneagles Elementary School.
  2. The southeastern boundary shall begin at the ocean south of Gulf Beach Park, south of Kew Road to include the 5200 Block of Marine Drive to meet with the BC Railway line and follows the railroad northerly to the northwest corner of Remainder Parcel C – Plan 770, then to the northern limit of the municipality.
GLENEAGLES CH’AXAY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
  1. The northern boundary shall be the northern limit of the municipality.
  2. The eastern boundary shall begin at the 5900 Block, Marine Drive, and run from there along the P.G.E. right-of-way to Nelson Creek Ravine, and thence along the bed of Nelson Creek Ravine north east to the limit of the Municipality.
  3. The western and southern boundaries shall be the sea from the limit of the municipality to the easement at the 5900 Block, Marine Drive.
  4. For students in Grades 4 – 7, the Gleneagles boundary shall extend to include Lions Bay Village, Brunswick Beach and the area in between.
HOLLYBURN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
  1. The northern boundary shall be down the middle of Inglewood Avenue (south side) from 21st Street to Taylor Way.
  2. The eastern boundary shall begin from the intersection of Inglewood Avenue and Taylor Way south down the middle of Taylor Way to the middle of Keith Road, then east to the limit of the municipality. This catchment area includes Klahanie Court (a housing development beside the Capilano Rugby Club).
  3. The western boundary shall begin from the ocean up the middle of 21st Street (east side) to Inglewood Avenue.
  4. The southern boundary shall be the ocean from the middle of 21st Street (east side) to the eastern boundary of the municipality.
IRWIN PARK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
  1. The northern boundary shall be the limit of the municipality from Rodgers Creek to the west fork of McDonald Creek.
  2. The eastern boundary shall follow the western fork of McDonald Creek from the northern limit of the municipality to the intersection of 21st Street and the Upper Levels Highway. The boundary then continues down the centre line of 21st Street to the sea.
  3. The western boundary shall be the eastern boundary of West Bay Elementary School.
  4. The southern boundary shall be sea from the mouth of Rodgers Creek to 21st Street.
LIONS BAY COMMUNITY SCHOOL
  1. The boundaries shall be those as defined as the boundaries of Lions Bay Village and Brunswick Beach.
  2. These boundaries apply to primary pupils only. Students in Grades 4 to 7 within these boundaries will attend Gleneagles Elementary School.
ECOLE PAULINE JOHNSON
  1. The boundaries shall be the limits of the municipality on all sides, and including the Village of Lions Bay and Bowen Island.
RIDGEVIEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
  1. The northern boundary shall be the Upper Levels Highway extending from the 21st Street intersection to Taylor Way.
    2. The eastern boundary shall be Taylor Way extending from the Upper Levels Highway to the corner of Inglewood Avenue.
    3. The western boundary shall be the eastern boundary of Irwin Park Elementary school beginning at the northeast corner of Inglewood.
    4. The southern boundary shall be down the middle of Inglewood Avenue (north side) from 21st Street to Taylor Way.
WEST BAY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
  1. The northern boundary shall be the limit of the municipality.
  2. The eastern boundary shall be Rodgers Creek extending from the northern limit of the Municipality to the junction of the 29th Street and Mathers Avenue easement with 28th Street. The boundary then runs down the centre of 28th Street to the sea.
  3. The western boundary shall be the eastern boundary of Caulfeild Elementary School.
  4. The southern boundary shall be the sea from the mouth of Cypress Creek to the mouth of Rodgers Creek.
WESTCOT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
  1. The northern boundary shall be the intersection point of the Chartwell northern boundary and the eastern limit of the municipality.
  2. The eastern boundary shall extend along the eastern limit of the municipality from the northern boundary to the centre line of the Upper Levels Highway.
  3. The western boundary shall comprise the entire eastern boundary of the Chartwell Elementary School to the intersection of 11th Street and the Upper Levels Highway.
  4. The southern boundary shall be the Upper Levels Highway from the centre line of 11th Street east to Taylor Way, then south down the middle of Taylor Way to Keith Road, then east along the middle of Keith Road to the eastern limit of the municipality.

SECONDARY SCHOOLS:

ROCKRIDGE SECONDARY SCHOOL

Rockridge Secondary School enrolls students in Grades 8 through 12. The school catchment is as follows:

  1. On the west, the western limits of the municipality, and the northern limits of the municipality including the Village of Lions Bay.
  2. On the east, Rodgers Creek shall be the boundary, and south to the shoreline of the municipality.
  3. For students residing on Bowen Island, their catchment school is Rockridge Secondary School.
ECOLE SENTINEL SECONDARY SCHOOL

Ecole Sentinel/Sentinel Secondary School enrolls students in Grades 8 – 12 living in the area north of the Upper Levels from the eastern boundary of the municipality to the West fork of McDonald Creek. Sentinel will also enroll all Grade 8 – 12 students in the district’s French Immersion program.

  1. The northern boundary shall be the northern limit of the municipality from the western fork of McDonald Creek to the eastern limit of the municipality.
  2. The western boundary shall be from the west fork of McDonald Creek to the Upper Levels Highway.
  3. The southern boundary shall be the Upper Levels Highway from the west fork of McDonald Creek east to Taylor Way, then south down the middle of Taylor Way to Keith Road, then east along the middle of Keith Road to the eastern limit of the municipality.
  4. The eastern boundary shall be the eastern limit of the municipality from Keith Road north to the northern limit of the municipality.
WEST VANCOUVER SECONDARY SCHOOL

West Vancouver Secondary School enrolls students in Grades 8 to 12. The boundaries are as follows:

  1. On the west, Rodgers Creek shall be the boundary, plus Bowen Island, and south to the shoreline of the municipality.
  2. On the north, from the northern limit of the municipality from Rodgers Creek to the western fork of McDonald Creek to the intersection of the Upper Levels Highway and 21st Street, then east along the mid-point of the Upper Levels Highway to Taylor Way.
  3. The eastern boundary shall be the centre line of Taylor Way below the Upper Levels Highway, south to Keith Road, east along the centre line of Keith Road to the eastern boundary of the municipality and south to the shoreline of the municipality. The catchment area includes the Klahanie Court area beside the Capilano Rugby Club.
