At Lions Bay, we are committed to providing a safe learning environment, while we strive to enable students to become confident leaders.
Lions Bay Community School
Nestled in the coastal forest, Lions Bay Community School is celebrating over 30 years of innovative education. The unique open area design invites multi-age groupings for instruction. Current student population is approximately 40 kindergarten through grade three students. Lions Bay School has a Head Teacher in charge, two classroom teachers, a music teacher, and a learning support teacher. In addition to the teaching staff, Lions Bay is supported by a dedicated staff consisting of a secretary, custodian, teaching assistant, and lunch supervision aid. A dynamic on site playschool works closely with the school community.
Our school is also supported by itinerant access to a range of services including counselling, challenge and speech/language pathology. Our parent community is highly supportive of school initiatives like Family Education Evenings, Home Reading, Scholastic Book Clubs and Fun Food.
The mission of Lions Bay Community School is to provide a nurturing and challenging learning environment that enables students to achieve their personal best in the areas of literacy, numeracy and social responsibility.
