Tumblebooks
TumbleBookLibrary is an online collection of TumbleBooks – animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they’ll love. TumbleBooks are created by adding animation, sound, music and narration to existing picture books in order to produce an electronic picture book which you can read, or have read to you.


Click Magazine for Kids
Clickmagkids.com features fun and creative projects to print and pursue offline, audio recordings of stories featured in their subscription magazine, Click, recommendations for books, and games that engage children’s growing logic skills.


Story Nory
Storynory provides free audio books and texts, including classic fairy tales and original children’s stories. Children may listen and read along. As well, stories can be downloaded onto mp3s.


West Vancouver Memorial Library Book Lists
The wonderful children’s librarians of West Vancouver Memorial Library have compiled favourite book lists available through the library’s website.


Library Thing
This is a social cataloging web application that allows users to catalog personal collections, keep reading lists, read and write book reviews, and join groups to discuss books.


American Library Association
Check out the “Recommended Print and Media Awards” (Best of) lists. You will find such gems as “Notable Children’s Books”, “Great Web Sites for Kids”, and “Great Interactive Software for Kids”. As well, use the search feature on the web site to find additional parent resources (in the “Libraries and Internet Toolkit” which has information about online safety
