Eagle Harbour StrongStart Update – Feb. 20, 2020

Dear Eagle Harbour StrongStart Families,
This letter is to inform you of an important staffing update for Eagle Harbour StrongStart.
Unfortunately, Ms. Lindsay Holbrook is needing to take a medical leave effective February 21, 2020. We are actively looking for a replacement for Ms. Holbrook. Once we have completed this process, we look forward to introducing you to the successful candidate. Please note that StrongStart at Eagle Harbour will remain open as per our regular weekly schedule during this period of transition.
Lindsay has been the StrongStart Early Childhood Educator at Eagle Harbour since September 2018. During this time, she has taught our youngest learners and worked closely with countless families in West Vancouver. Lindsay has been part of many district Early Learning initiatives, and she has worked collaboratively with the educational team at Eagle Harbour.
During this period of transition, we thank you for your patience and understanding. We look forward to welcoming Lindsay back after her medical leave. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at sshortall@wvschools.ca or 604-981-1095.

Eagle Harbour Presentation to School Trustees – Climate Change
Eagle Harbour Presentation to School Trustees
Eagle Harbour Montessori made our annual presentation to school trustees on Tuesday, May 21. Upper Elementary students Jayden and Kia joined Mr. Price, and Capilano University student Meghan Orr and Professor Michael Markwick to share their experience with the Climate Change and Wildfire project the upper elementary students and fourth year Capilano University crisis communication students collaborated on. Board Members were very intrigued by the fact that the project connected a university class and an elementary class so closely. Kia and Jayden did a wonderful job answering the trustees' questions at the end of the presentation.
