Who gets in? The Truths and Myths of How Canadian Universities Make Admission Decisions

Andrew Arida, Associate Registrar UBC will provide an overview of the rationales and decision-making process Canadian Universities often use to make admission decisions. He will also dispel the myths and rumours that often surround the admissions process; expect an interactive and lively discussion!

About Andrew:
Andrew is Associate Registrar, Student Recruitment & Undergraduate Admissions at the University of British Columbia. Andrew joined UBC in 1996 and worked in prospective student recruitment, undergraduate admissions and enrolment management. He holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Calgary and an MA in Higher Education from UBC. Andrew is President of ARUCC, the Association of Registrars of the Universities & Colleges of Canada; he also sits on the Admissions Committee for the BC Council on Admissions and Transfer, and on the International Baccalaureate College and University Recognition Committee.
