AP* ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE

Hello and welcome to AP* Environmental Science (APES).  This is an exciting course and I feel it should be a requirement of all high school students!  One hope for our own students is that they become global citizens who will guide us in the future to sustainability,  A big goal I know!

No matter where you live, there are opportunities for your students to get involved in environmental projects.  I attribute service learning as an important reason for the success of my students.  Students not only learn but are very engaged in these activities and will be able to discuss issues on the AP* exam.  My focus is not on memorizing facts but on creating students who are critical thinkers and problem solvers.

During the course, you will have opportunities to discuss strategies to help your students be successful and be able to research opportunities in your area in which to involve your students.

I look forward to working together to create a dynamic learning community!

Marian, DeWane. ED
