Administrators and Coordinators Session
Presenter – Kathy Grant

In this two-day session an extensive list of topics that relate to the building and coordination of Advanced Placement Programs in secondary schools will be covered: implementation, coordination, growth, and promotion. The broad topics are as follows: History of the Advanced Placement Program; Purpose; Basic Tenets; Exam Administration; Results, Research, and Data; Recruitment; Resources; and an overview of the new AP Capstone Diploma Program. Participants will have opportunities to share best practices and explore ways to enhance their programs.


Kathy Grant – Bio

kathy-grantKathy Grant is an experienced AP Coordinator who for over twenty years has been directly involved in the growth and development of the AP Program at Sentinel Secondary School in West Vancouver, British Columbia. She has conducted sessions for Administrators and AP Coordinators at various schools, conferences, and summer institutes. She has completed the training involved for AP Seminar and AP Research and over the past year and a half has been involved in the implementation of the AP Capstone program at Sentinel which was one of 10 schools in Canada and one of 135 schools world-wide selected to do so in 2014.
